4. World’s Stretchiest Skin
Namely, the guy’s name is Garry Turner, he comes from the United Kingdom and he is apparently able to stretch his skin (on his stomach, for these purposes) to a length of 6.25 inches, or 15.8 centimeters.
Garry was actually born with a rare, weird and awesome skin condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a disorder which causes the connective tissue of his skin, ligaments and internal organs, to stretch beyond normal extents.
“The collagen that strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, resulting in, among other things, a loosening of the skin and hypermobility of the joints”. The Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is also rather dangerous as it can, in more serious cases, lead to “the fatal collapse or rupturing of blood vessels”.
