17. Fiat Multipla

Produced by Fiat from 1998 to 2010, the Fiat Multipla is not an elegant vehicle; although, it has been dubbed the family car of the future.

While it does boast some streamlined features, it also looks rather clunky. With its oval base and box-like top, there is something inevitably incongruous about these vehicles.

In fact, they have been called the weirdest cars you’ll see on the roads today. With its unusual bug-eye headlights, this car will turn heads–but not in a good way!

While there is no denying that the Fiat Multiple has plenty of seating and storage space for families, its unusual design stands in the way of its functionality. Fans of the car find that it handles beautifully.

It is also known for its comfort, especially for long car rides. Yet, the shape and strange design may make drivers want to don their shades and avoid making eye contact with other drivers on the road.

The design received such bad press that Fiat decided to revamp the car–give it a facelift. The result was unremarkable. While the company got rid of the offending features, it didn’t do much else. Newer models blend in so that they barely rate a second glance.
