4. Jai-Alai
This mostly comes from the fact that the objects involved in this game are flying at over 180 miles an hour.
And when we say objects, we mean rock-solid balls slung from wooden curved baskets on the hands of the players. But unlike hurling, the participants wear helmets and some protective gear, so injuries can be avoided to some degree.
We can see how jai-alai’s fast pace can be appealing to its creators from Spain, but what we can’t understand is how they aren’t afraid for their life every time a ball comes flying towards them like a heat-seeking missile.
