9. Velvet
We don’t even know where to begin to explain all the things that are wrong with wearing velvet, unless you are going to a costume party, in which case you can pretty much wear all the things you wouldn’t be caught dead in on a regular day.
Wearing velvet would probably throw your date completely off guard and give her the wrong impression – that she’s on a date with a 17th century duke.
Velvet is absolutely off limits for self-respected men aged between 7 and 77.
What we’re trying to say is, don’t make picking your outfit for a date too complicated, don’t overthink it, and you’ll be fine. And don’t ask your mom for opinion because to her you look handsome in everything.
