12 Movies So Bad That They Are Actually Funny
12. The Three Musketeers (2011)
This update of the “The Three Musketeers” set in seventeenth century France tries to bring a modern twist to the story but relies too much on action sequences and special effects.
The dialogue is clearly aimed at younger audiences and often borders on the ridiculous.
There’s an excellent cast in this production of The Three Musketeers, but even the greatest actors of all time would not be able to save this dire movie.
Alexander Dumas’ classic tale has been adapted for the screen numerous times. The first known production was a French movie that aired in 1903.
The story was then made into numerous silent movies by both US and European studios. A 1933 miniseries based on the novel starred John Wayne and recast the Musketeers as soldiers in the French Foreign Legion stationed in North Africa. There have also been multiple animated cartoons, TV series and several spin-offs.

Critics hated the latest offering and criticised the acting, special effects and lack of character development. Orlando Bloom even appears in this awful movie which was no doubt one of the worst errors of judgement in his entire career.
