6. Batman and Robin

The recent success of “The Dark Knight trilogy” is remarkable when you look back at some of the earlier attempts to bring Batman to the big screen.

“Batman and Robin” tried and failed to bring some of the campness of the 1960s TV show into a movie packed with big name stars.

The script is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Casting George Clooney as Batman was one of the biggest movie mistakes of all time.

Even the Batsuit prepared for Clooney was a disaster as it was the first design to feature nipples and made the iconic character seem even more ridiculous.

The only redeeming feature of Batman and Robin was Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy. Fans and critics joined together to express their hatred of the movie and accused Joel Schumacher of killing the Batman Franchise. The film has come to be known as one of the worst films in history.

So Hilariously Bad that You’re Gonna Love It!

George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell have since expressed their regret at getting involved with the movie and Joel Schumacher was even forced to issue an apology to fans. The director released a statement saying “If there’s anybody watching this, that… let’s say, loved Batman Forever, and went into Batman & Robin with great anticipation, if I’ve disappointed them in any way, then I really want to apologize.”
