An R8 says “manly” at just one glance. Climb into its cockpit, and you’ll have a 420 horsepower V8 at your command.
This powerful man’s car isn’t cheap, though. It will set you back $118,000 — but that’s a bargain compared to the Veyron!
The German car manufacturer has built more than 50,000 models since 2007 and they are available for purchase in a number of different engine configurations, ranging from a 4.2-litre V8 to a 5.2-litre V10.
Not many mid-engine cars can look contemporary or unique. Credit the Audi R8 for nailing both. Its unique aluminum body is unmistakably Audi and far less in-your-face than the Gallardo, but it still sends a clear message of performance.
There is even an electric version, the “e-tron,” although it’s just a concept at this stage until the price of electric motor and battery technology decreases significantly.
