Awarded to the winner of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals, the trophy dates back to 1892 and makes the rounds during the summer with members of triumphant team.
However, since it is quite valuable, both literally and metaphorically, it needs to be accompanied by a professional keeper at all times.
Walter Neubrand is one of three men called the Keepers of the Cup, and is currently in charge of keeping and maintaining the trophy during its many trips around the world.
