Bottled in 2012, this 55-year-old whiskey is far from being just another scotch brand from the famous Scottish island of Islay. But what is it that makes the Bowmore 1957 so unique.
There are a couple of reasons, among which is the fact that this scotch actually changed barrels while it was sitting. It spent forty-three years in a sherry cask, only to sit for another 11 years in a bourbon cask.
