It was bottled in the late 1970’s for the first time, only to be rebottled in 2002 in the goal of being added to Macallan’s Fine and Rare series. You could say that this whiskey survived the war, and you wouldn’t be wrong.
The Macallan brand was introduced in the midst of the WWII break-out in Europe, which puts its 1939 scotch among the first liquors that Macallan ever created.
While it may not look as much, the Macallan 1939 compensates for it with a fine taste of dried fruit, earthy peak smoke, and sweet toffee flavors.
