15. Jack The Ripper
Between August 7th and November 10th 1888, five women (working as prostitutes) were killed in the Whitechapel district of London’s East End.
They were found with their throats slashed and their bodies completely mutilated.
One of the victim’s kidneys was even sent by mail to the police, while numerous notes (signed by someone calling themselves Jack The Ripper) were left taunting the crime-solvers of the era to figure out who he is. The most famous serial killer of all time was never caught, and there are a number of theories surrounding his identity.
