4. The Mad Butcher

The 1930’s weren’t the best of times to be living in, otherwise peaceful, Cleveland. A series of murders were committed in this city from 1934 to 1938, by an unidentified man.

The murdered, nicknamed by the press The Mad Butcher, killed 13 people. The Mad Butcher would decapitate his victims, some even while they were still alive during the horrid encounter.

As time went on, the crazy murderer got more vicious – at one point, he ripped out a victim’s heart. The sheriff arrested a suspect who killed himself while in custody awaiting trial, but no one actually knows who the Mad Butcher was. All official police records have vanished since then.
