7 Tablets That Put the iPad to Shame

7. Asus MeMO Pad HD 7

Last but not least we have the MeMO Pad from Asus. Make no mistake, this tablet won’t wow consumers compared to any of the other devices on this list, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a place on this list.

The Asus MeMO Pad is a prime example of the perfect package of features with the perfect price. At $149 it is the most affordable entry level tablet out there, automatically making it an easier pick for those scared off by the higher price tags on the iPad and iPad Mini (a direct competitor in the case of the MeMO Pad).

Powered by a 1.2 GHz processor, the MeMO Pad won’t knock your socks off with performance, but again this tablet is about making the perfect compromise between features and price.

As with the Kindle Fire HD, the Asus proves that you don’t have to be high priced like the iPad in order to meet the basic needs of the average tablet user.

Pros: The Asus tablet has the best price available for an entry level device, and boasts all the standard features any tablet user would be expecting from their device.

Cons: The lower price of the MeMO Pad is evident in the build quality (cheap plastic), lack of high-end features (rear camera is only 5 MP), and its performance won’t match that of others on the list.
