Now, the Toyota Prius is not the first hybrid vehicle to make its way onto the list of chick cars.

For starters, no car should be considered masculine or feminine based upon its eco-engineering.

By all means, it is beneficial to the economy in the United States and around the globe to encourage the adoption of hybrid vehicle.

Eco-friendly engines reduce carbon emissions and stretch global fuel supplies farther.

However, at what point in time was it written into the rules of automobile production that hybrid vehicles had to be ugly? There is nothing about the design of the Toyota Prius that screams out sexy, much less manly. The appearance of the Prius is altogether uninspired and the number of standard features is equally unimpressive.

When you add the lack of inspiration behind the design of the Prius to its meager performance on the road, it doesn’t really stack up against cars with a more masculine profile.
