7. Honda Insight
The Honda Insight is one of the most controversial cars to be released in the 21st century, and for a variety of reasons. The Insight was originally introduced in 2000 and production continued through the 2006 model year.
On the plus side for the Insight, it was a ground breaker in ecofriendly engineering and increased fuel-efficiency. Before either of those terms was popular, Honda was selling the Insight. Additionally, the Insight remains to this day one of the most affordable fuel-efficient cars ever produced.
Unfortunately, Honda missed the mark badly in the design of this two-door hatchback. For starters, hatchbacks are dead and should remain in the grave. No man in his right mind would drive a hatchback and expect women to look fondly upon him.

Additionally, the rear skirting that covered the skinny rear tires created an altogether unpleasant image. The Insight looked a bit like a bicycle with a car body over it as it limped on down the road. There is nothing wrong with buying an ecofriendly car, but ecofriendly doesn’t have to mean underpowered and poorly designed.
