10. Swiss Ball Rolls

Simple, effective and absolutely easy to do, the Swiss Ball Rollout truly is one of the best ab exercises of all time.

In addition to toning your abdominal muscles for a stronger, svelter you, the Swiss Ball Rollout also works your lower back to help stabilize your spine, which is the purpose of the muscles surrounding your torso in the first place.

Sit on your knees with a Swiss ball in front of you. Let your back arch naturally, and place your forearms on the ball with your fists clenched in front of you.

Engage your abs and squeeze your glutes (your butt muscles.) You’ll want to keep both muscle groups tight throughout this exercise.

Roll the ball forward very slowly, allowing your arms to straighten and your body to extend forward, but keeping your muscles engaged and your back naturally arched. Your back shouldn’t move out of its natural arch during the movement.

When you’ve extended your body as far as it will go, you should appear as though you’re doing a plank. Slowly work the ball back to you, maintaining your natural arch and bending your arms back to the starting position.

Work up to 15 reps of the Swiss Ball Rollout for best results.
