15. BMW Z3 Roadster

There are few cars on the list that match the appeal of a brand name like BMW.

For decades now, BMW vehicles have been associated with wealth and power.

The BMW Z3 is one of the most recognizable models from the auto manufacturer. Although BMW is headquartered in Germany, the Z3 models found on American roads were all assembled in the company’s Greer, South Carolina assembly plant.

The Z3, classified as a roadster, was produced between 1995 and 2002 (model years 1996 to 2003). At this point in time, the Z3 Roadsters are old enough that the average model can be found under $15,000 with little problem.

Over the course of production, the Z3 was offered with a variety of engine options that ranged from a 1.8L I4 engine (on the low end) to a 3.2L I6 engine (on the high end). Transmission options included a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual.
