Women Find This Quality In Men More Attractive Than Good Looks And Sense Of Humor
Although roughly 99% of male population would say that good looks, style, and a sense of humor are the three main traits women really want to see in their ideal man, many recent studies beg to differ, actually.
It’s ALTRUISM!
Several recent studies consistently show that it is indeed altruism that attracts women the most and this is especially true when it comes to women looking for a serious relationship.
However, that is not all.
The research published in the British Journal of Psychology found that altruistic men also have more sex than men who don’t really care about the well-being of others.
“The researchers asked unmarried Canadian adults how much they did good deeds like giving money to charity or helping someone get their car out of the snow,” IFL Science reports . “They then asked the participants how often they had sex and how many partners they’ve had.”
“Men who reported more altruistic acts had more sex — and more partners. For those who were in relationships, good-hearted men were more likely to have had more sex in the last 30 days, too.”
How about those apples?
Marriage Material
Another study published in January 2016 in the journal Evolutionary Psychology, suggests that men who are more altruistic than others get more attention from women looking for a life partner.
The experiment “presented 202 women with different men to choose from. The different combinations of choices were either attractive or not, and they either did a good deed or didn’t.”
“The women chose the selfish, attractive men for a one-night stand. But for a long-term relationship, they chose the altruistic man whether he was attractive or not.”
So, there you go single men – there’s still hope even if you are not one of the attractive ones. Simply make sure you have a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others, and you are good to go!
